Bad and Crazy is an upcoming South Korean superhero television series. The show will be written by Kim Sae Bom (The Uncanny Counter), while Yoo Seon Dong (The Vampire Prosecutor 2) will helm it. Yoo Seon Dong is also the director of The Uncanny Counter, and he will also direct its sequel. Well, it looks like the complete team of the hit fantasy show is backing Bad and Crazy. We can definitely expect it to be another blast. The production team has not revealed much regarding the show yet. Other cast members, release dates, broadcast schedule, and more are still a mystery. But, they might have found the leads for the show.
Lee Dong Wook and Han Ji Eun in Bad and Crazy
Bad and Crazy is a superhero drama. It will be the story about the protagonist, who has lived thier complete life as a snobbish police detective, enjoying his materialistic luxuries. But things change when suddenly a hidden persona called “K” awakens inside them. And he then becomes a leader for justice and fights against police corruption. We assume that teh role of the police officer will be played by Lee Dong Wook. Although the details on his role, like the name of the character are still under wraps, we do know that Lee Dong Wook will play the lead role. Recently, news came out that the actress has been approached to play a role on the show. The actress revealed that she did receive the offer to take up a role. And later, it was announced that is positively reviewing the offer. If the actress joins the show, she might play the female lead. Unfortunately, we do not have any detail on the role offered to Han Ji Eun. We expect the network to release more updates soon. Lee Dong Wook was previously seen in 2020’s hit show, The Tale of Nine Tailed. He has been a part of several other hit dramas like Goblin, Touch your Heart, Strangers from Hell, and Scent of a Woman. The actor has a huge fan following, and his fans will love to see him portraying the role of a policeman. On the other hand, Han Ji Eun made her debut with Lights and Shadows in 2011. Since then, she has earned fame for her roles in shows like 100 Days My Prince, Kkondae Intern, Be Melodramatic, and she recently appeared in Lovestruck in the city.
Bad and Crazy Release Date and Other Details
As we mentioned, the show is in its pre-production stage. And everything regarding Bad and Crazy’s broadcast is kept under wraps by the network. However, there are still some updates. It is claimed that Bad and Crazy is eyeing to begin filming in the first half of 2021. Moreover, as for the release date, it is believed that the upcoming drama will premiere after the airing of OCN’s ongoing show, Dark Hole, The Voice 4, and in between the seasons of Island. Dark Hole will conclude on June 5, 2021. So, we can expect Bad and Crazy to premiere in the second half of 2021. Also, the show will have twelve episodes in all, making its debut on the OCN Network. However, we are unsure if it will be available on Netflix. The Uncanny Counter is accessible on Netflix. Hence, we can accept Dark Hole to be a part of the streamer’s library.
