Enlisted is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) shooting game that is being developed by Dark flow Software. The game will be published by Gaijin Entertainment. This game is supposed to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows. So, the game is currently only for the next-gen consoles. The game isn’t only all about multiplayer; it also has a story mode. The game is based on the battles of World War 2, so all the campaign modes are also from that war. Gaijin Studios recently released an open beta trailer along with the open beta. Let us have a look at the trailer and all the different game modes, weapons, characters, and the release date.

Trailer

The trailer clearly shows the great visuals of the game. There is constant firing and bombarding throughout the video. There are glimpses of all the maps in the trailer. Tankers, airplanes, different guns and machines, and some action scenes, the developers have tried to cover everything they can in these 2 minutes.

Multiplayer Mode

Well, the multiplayer mode in this game will see 20 players hop in a single map at once. There will be two teams—10 on each side. You have either defend or capture certain areas in order to win the match. The game is not about just running around on your foot and killing enemies; there are 12 different types of squad units that you can play. Every unit has a different specialty, and you must make maximum use of their abilities. The 12 different types of units are All these units can be upgraded. This is an interesting part of the game. In most of the other multiplayer shooter games, there isn’t any option of upgrading your character and weapons, but these games give you that feature. There are 3 types of upgrades available. You will get experience points after every game, and it is in your hands to select the type of upgrade. The three types are Squad upgrades, Workshop upgrades, and Personal upgrades. You can know more about the squads and abilities right here. Squad Upgrades give you the option to increase your squad size. Workshop upgrades will help you in upgrading your weapons, and personal upgrades will increase the number of slots of abilities for that single soldier. It will allow them to get new weapons and machines.

Single-Player

As said above, there is also a single-player mode for all campaign lovers. There are 4 different campaigns to play, and all are taken from World War 2. The campaigns are There have been some glimpses of all the maps in the trailer, and every map has a unique environment. One will be snowy throughout, whereas the other will be an open field filled completely with hidden snipers. There aren’t many options when it comes to weapons and utilities, though. Since the game is set around the World War 2 era, the developers have to take care of not hurting any sentiments or showing a different version of it in any manner. Adding weapons that weren’t there in the first place would create a false reality among the gamers who have no idea about World War and are learning about World War through this game.

Enlisted Release Date

The game had a closed beta around a month ago, and now the open beta has been released. There isn’t any announcement about the release date of this game. So till the release date gets announced, get the hang of it by playing the open beta and understand all of its mechanics so that you can have the upper hand when the final version of the game releases.

Thoughts on the Game

The game is actually very good. The beta feels very solid, and if they improve upon the current beta, this game has the potential to be one of the best titles in its genre. The game may feel a bit complex at the start because of so many squad units and how to control them or what abilities they possess. But, with time, things will get easier as you will get the hang of it, and you will truly enjoy this game due to the features which made you felt overwhelmed in the beginning.
